About Me

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work Associate (LICSWA), fluent in Spanish, practicing under the supervision of an LCSW and LMHC. I graduated from Boise State University with my Master's in Social Work on May 10th, 2025. I am the first in my family to obtain a Master's Degree. I work with adolescents and adults (ages 13–65) experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions or challenges, stress, coping skills, inner healing, inner child healing, and grief. My approach is trauma-informed, eclectic, and hands-on — focused on inner healing, empowerment, and growth for both women and men.

JL Counseling & Healing was created in honor of my father, who passed away from COVID-19 in 2020. Losing my father was a tremendously profound loss, and he was my inspiration to obtain a master's in social work to help others. Therefore, JL stands for Jessie’s Legacy — a reminder that healing, transformation, and hope are always possible, no matter the circumstance.
